Hackathon Vietnam 2014 was organized by 5DESIRE, Formation 8 Investment Fund, and Ministry of Sciences & Technology (through FIRST project). In charge of media and community management of the event, 5Desire attracted over 30 articles, 15 forums talked about Hackathon Vietnam 2014 before the event, collecting over 1000 applications from all over Vietnam.

Hackathon Viet Nam 2014 – one amongst greatest, most remarkable events for the youths who are passionate about technology that will take place in 2 days 01/08 & 02/08, 2014 in the two cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This is one marking event for the travelling with Vietnamese start up enterprises of 5DESIRE, Formation 8 Investment Fund and Ministry of Sciences & Technology (through FIRST project). The event has been participated by and received dedicated contributions of Professor Ngo Bao Chau - Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and Professor Duong Nguyen Vu - John Von Neumann Institute, National University in Ho Chi Minh City.

5Desire supported Pennam Partners to do a research for infoDev (World Bank) about Enhancing Access to Finance for Technology Entrepreneurs

Vietnam’s Ahometo is an e-commerce startup launched in late 2012, that specializes in things you’d buy to decorate your house. The company has announced that it secured funding from a freshly created seed fund named OneCapitalWay, lead by 5Desire and several undisclosed Silicon Valley angel investors.
