5DESIRE is an Incubator and Consulting firm focusing on information and communication technologies

5DESIRE is a Vietnamese Incubator and Consulting Firm whose mission is to help accelerate the successful development of startups in different sectors through an array of business support resources and services. Every year, a limited number of the best startups are chosen by 5DESIRE Lab to participate in an incubation program focusing on product development, technology, business strategy, etc. During this incubation process, 5DESIRE works intensively with these budding companies to enable them to thrive and flourish by themselves.

5DESIRE is running 5DESIRE Co-working space , gathering global entrepreneurs, experts and developers. Startups from 5DESIRE portfolio can access to these global mindset to get advices and consultant. Every month, 5DESIRE also organizes Investment Hour and Global Expert Sharing to build up ICT community.

  • Pham Le Nguyen

    Founder

    Focus on managing investor relations and start-ups relations. Prior to 5DESIRE, Nguyen Pham was the first Product Manager of Skunkworks, initiating the first design of the location based social network mobile application with global vision.

    Prior to Skunkworks, Nguyen Pham had 3 years managerial experience in online venture investments as the Head of Incubator at Vietnam Communications Corporation (VC Corp). She had strategic investment decision into Ohay and GoodVietnam which now become Linkhay, the leading social news in Vietnam, and GPRS product which brought 50% revenue for VC Mobile department. Nguyen Pham also has helped to build up several leading websites in Vietnam including Channel 14. This was founded when Nguyen Pham and her co-founders were university students. Channel 14 is now the leading online newspaper for Vietnamese teenagers with more than 400 million page-views per month, ranking 14th among top websites in Vietnam.

  • Le Hue Giang

    Co-founder

    Focus on strategic planning and event management. Prior to 5DESIRE, Giang Le was the first Product Manager, designing the overall frame of 24 online products in Go.vn, also known as Vietnam network developed by VTC Online Jsc.,. Among these 24 products, Giang Le directly managed the portal and the social network myGo, the core and base of Go.vn.

    Prior to VTC Online, Giang Le was the Vice Director of Channel 14 Department, www.kenh14.vn invested by VC Corp. Channel 14 was founded when Giang Le, together with Nguyen Pham and their co-founders were students. Under their management, Channel 14 experienced the increase of 200% per month in consecutive 6 months and reached the leading position in only 3 months after launching.

  • Bryan Pelz


    With 29 years in software and 16 years in startups, Bryan is a serial online entrepreneur. He is currently running a mobile application called Klamr in Saigon and in San Francisco. Before this he started and ran VNG which has the #1 social network, me.zing.vn, the #1 web portal www.zing.vn, and is also the #1 online game company.


    Prior to VNG, Bryan has also started 2 other companies. One is Fetch Technologies in Manhattan Beach California. The other is Nomade.fr, one of the leading portals in France (at that time). The company completed a strategic merger with LibertySurf which went public and was later acquired by the Tiscali Group.


    Bryan is from California. He went to UCLA, and has been a software engineer at heart since he bought his first Apple in 1979.

  • Nguyen Thanh Son


    Son founded T&A Communications in November 1996 and grew the company to 60 communications experts agency, representing about 30 international brands. In 2008, WPP acquired a part of T&A and turned it into a joint venture called T&A Ogilvy. Prior to founding T&A Communications, Son served as a Desk Officer for the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)


    A native of Hanoi, Son graduated from the Moscow Institute of International Relations with a master in International Journalism in 1994. He is a USIS Business Fellow (Class of 2002) and a Rockefeller Fellow (Class 2005). In 2006, he received the prestigious Asia Leadership Fellow from Japanese Government and Japan Foundation.


    Son is an investor and BOD member of Forinco Invest, an investment company that builds and operates cancer treatment facilities in Vietnam, BioZ Vietnam, a biotech company.

  • Rita Nguyen


    Rita has over twelve years of experience with international marketing and product development in the digital space. She currently heads up the product operations team at skunkworks.vn, working on an unannounced mobile app centered around location and social networking.

    Prior to returning to VN, Rita spent four years with Electronic Arts in Vancouver, Canada, overseeing the creation of the online and community teams responsible for the worldwide launches of such products as Need for Speed and Army of Two. During this time, she also led the vision and creation of the EA Game Label's first community affinity program.

  • Jean-Pierre Baeyens


    Prof. Baeyens is a professor of business administration at Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management and Ecole Polytechnique where he holds the Chair of Marketing. Since 2009, he has been the Dean of Solvay Brussels School programs in Vietnam.

    Besides teaching, Prof. Baeyens has been practicing marketing both as a manager and a consultant. He began his career with Procter & Gamble and he was Marketing Manager, then CEO, of Moulinex Belgium marketing operations. Then he created his own investment group and ventured in various startups.

    Prof. Baeyens graduated from Harvard Business School, class of ‘79. Previously, he graduated as Master of Sciences in Management from Solvay Business School, class of ‘75. He has always been active in the commmunity as member of the Harvard Club of Belgium and Founder of the Belgian Association of Board Directors.
